Since my last blog my kids have gotten so big, can you believe it? They have such great unique personalities.
Charly Anne, she is 3 years 3 months, and acts like it. She is going to Guiding Light and is Miss Pam is her teachers, she is learning so much. It is a Christian School and that has been fun to see, she has learned so many little songs I know from Vacation Bible School. I sing with her and she always says so Mommy I learned this at my school so I only sing. For halloween she dressed up as Dorothy from Wizard of Oz, She was very cute and loved her costume. Her favorite part of trunk or treat was not collecting candy(although she did like it), but she enjoyed handing out candy. she was sitting in our camp chair with the candy bowl on her lap. She could barely reach over the bowl but she would like at each kid dressed up and then hand them a candy. On Sunday Tammy, Lincoln, and Kailee came over and we let them have a candy Charly said " No Nixon I need to give the candy because that was my job on halloween"
Nixon, he is 20 months, and so great. He loves his Mom, which is why I always wanted a little boy. He doesn't talk a whole lot, I mean he has words that we understand, but doesn't choose to use the words. He just grunts, in public he is shy. He loves to laugh, but will not smile just because, he is a very serious little boy. People will always say that he is a lot like Thomas, when Thomas was a baby. He is also in Guiding Light and Miss Corrie is his teacher. We are so lucky Guiding Light is amazing, I love the teachers. For halloween Nixon was Superman, on the night of trunk or treat we got him dressed. His outfit was Velcro on the back and he would rip it off, he thought it was so funny because he were so exasperated.
Last weekend I went to Time out for women and the kids stayed home with Thomas, Saturday was part 1 of our wards Day of Service, and they hung door hangers stating that we would collect food this coming Saturday. Charly asked Thomas what we were doing. So he explained to her, later I called and she said that they were going service "cause not everyone has money" and this little sentence touched my heart. I am grateful for the Gospel in our lives and see my kids learn so much. I mean not to say I didn't know service growing up, but she is so young and I see that light of Christ in her. It reminds me of how much I need to be teaching my kids the truth, they are just taking so much in and Heavenly Father has given us soo responsibility. While at time out for women Hillary Weeks spoke and she said something I have thought about a lot. "We will know our children as adults for eternity, but for a few short years we have the opportunity to know our children as children. I look at Charly and Nixon, especially Charly because she is so not a baby anymore, I still see baby in Nixon, and want to take all the love and beauty in and want to remember it all.'
