In May we all drove up to Utah for the Stucki family reunion, which has been our longest trip with Charly thus far....and it was good actually, she didn't fuss much! She wasn't walking yet so that made it hard because she is so independent she wanted to do her own thing. but she couldn't, it all worked out. It was fun to see everyone, and finally not for a funeral!
The reunion was at Hill Air Force base, so in between we all got t go to the museum and see all the planes, it was a little warm walking tho. It was nice everyone got an updated family history book, and in it were stories from Lund & his siblings, they were touching! All the grand kids got some of Grandma & Grandpa Stucki's wedding china, Steven & Shari (Lund's Bro & wife) were in charge this year and they brought mason jars for Grandma & Grandpa Stucki's kids to fill with things from their parents that reminded them of their parents, one of the things was a piece of Grandma's table cloth. It's amazing the simple things you treasure when you lose someone. Grandpa Stucki loved pens so everyone got to take some of his pens. It was so fun, and so sad at the same time. They passed a year and a half ago, and this was the first family reunion since they passed, and it was bittersweet, to be all together but without them.
After the reunion we went to the hotel and we took Charly for her first swim, it was really fun, she LOVED it! Rachel came over to swim too and it was so fun, she loved the water too, and was a crazy girl! It was a fun trip, the next day we just hung around, and prepared to take the long trip home! The trip home was fine, of course we were tired but excited to get home, Charly was pretty content. No long trips for a while......yeah right!
