Where do I start? Well most exciting we are having another baby, we are due Feb 17 and are so excited, honestly have no preference if its a boy or girl, but we can find out in a couple weeks. I dont want to find out, but Thomas wants to see so we will see what happens, I am weak to my hubby so we will find out!
Thomas and I have new callings so that has been fun, Thomas is Ward mission leader and was a little nervous about it but he is getting the hang of it. He loves working with the missionaries and getting to go out and meet investigators, Alex went out with the Elders the other day and really enjoyed it! I am the webelos den leader, I think thats the title? but I have only had one meeting so we will see. I think it will be fun, I just get nervous and want to learn as much as possible because I want the boys to get everything they can out it and have fun! I'll keep you updated about that!
Charly is so big running around like a mad women, but she is so funny. She loved music, honestly she has always loved it even as an infant, but now that she is more mobile she loves moving her hips around, she doesnt have great balance tho so she falls all the time. She tries to do what I would describe as something like tap dancing. Her newest cutest things she started doing over the last month.
1. she will fold her arms to stay the blessing and thinks its really funny to do it and look around and she all of us doing it with our eyes closed. She sometimes holds them still until we are done with the blessing but usually starts eating. But she is learning so that is fun. Tonight at dinner in the middle of dinner she saw alex fold his arms and she thought we were saying the blessing so she kept folding her arms and waiting for us
2. A few weeks ago I said "Charly you better come love me because your are going to go to bed soon" she started running toward me then stopped all of a sudden, then she turned around. I though she was running from me, but she grabbed her stuffed duck & lamb and ran into her room and stood at her crib and was pulling on the blanket crying until we put her in bed. So ok once but the other night I said finish your snack then have a drink of water because its bed time. So she ate her snack and ran around for a few minutes grabbed her cup and sat in Alex's gamming chair( a rocker w/speakers basically) and had a few drinks then all of a sudden got up grabbed her duck and her bedroom door was closed so she tried to open it, I went and opened it and picked her up to put her in bed, and she got all adjusted on her tummy and with her right hand, and face down waved good night to me! It cracked me up, she can be so crazy sometimes but she is soo great at bedtime. yes we have our ocassional nights were she does not want to sleep but on rare occasions!
I started a new job this month, I am working 4 days a week, and that has been good. It was harder leaving Charly now than it was when she was a newborn. Mainly I think because she didnt know before now she follows me to the door and cries, but it has gotten better, she still cries but I used to pick her us and she would run to me like she was so worried and almost in tears, but the last few days she has just walked up to me and talking, she is definetly ready to go as soon as I pick her up she starts waving good bye! We have a routine, I am a bad mom, she thinks she is starving when we get home so while I make dinner she sits in her high chair and has a popcicle, but she eats dinner so its not ruining her appetite, but 5pm is her whine time so I do what I have to so she doesnt whine, the things moms do to have some quiet...eessh I am a bad mom, no I dont really think that but its funny, I never would have I thought I do some of the things I do. being a mom is so different than what I thought but I love it. I was excited to go back to work, I thought I really missed it, and although its fun and I love my job, going back reminded me I love being homw with Charly and what a blessing she is in my life! I love her so much and I just took that for granted and crying baby sometimes drives you crazy but I realise I'd rather have that than not, so soon enough I will be back at home!
We had a scare earlier this month when Kathy, Thomas's mom was admitted into the hospital, they didnt know what was wrong but she had been sick for a while, that was a little stressful. Its hard to see someone you love in the hospital. After almost 2 weeks in the hospital and a surgery she is out and beginning to get back to her normal life, but feeling better. About a week and a half ago our nephew Richie was admitted into the hospital w/pneumonia. Richie is Zoe's(Thomas's oldest sister) youngest baby, he was born premie and in the nicu for a long time, and just within the last 6-8 months taken off oxygen so it makes it so much scarier than normal. He has been through so much, and so we are waiting to see what happens, he has been sedated since being in the hospital and has been getting worse. Today we spoke with Zoe and she said its a good day he hasn't gotten worse today so that makes it a good day. Thomas & I are going to Phoenix tomorrow just for support, and visit with Rachel while her brother is in the hospital. I imagine its hard for kids they dont really understand whats going on!
Well thats all I have for now, there is a lot more, but thats a quick overview until I have some more time!
